Blog Information

So I'm still getting used to this blog-thing, but I really like my new layout and hope you do to!

Couple of things for you to know about how to be a part of blogging:

1. I changed the settings so that anyone can leave a comment, whether you have an gmail account or not. But please sign your name so I know who left the comment.
2. In order to become a "follower" you must have a google email or "gmail".

Thanks for being a part of my daily thoughts!

Packing Update: Living Room-Done, Dining Room-Done, Bedroom-Done (well, at least my 1/2), Bathroom-Done. Now on to pack up the Kitchen tomorrow, with some help of a friend.

Check back tomorrow for information about our Garage Sale on Thursday & Friday!

What do we really NEED?

So my mission over the past week or so has been to pack up our house into 3 areas: Garage Sale (majority pile), Items to take (little as possible), and Items to store (trying to get down to 3 bins).  My goal has been to do a little each day, even just getting a little area accomplished is good.

Tonight I did our coat / shoes / etc closet, and I just have to say that when you are put in a position of what you need it's amazing what kinda stuff you have been holding onto that is completely unnecessary.  One item I found were my "favorite" summer shoes, well it's the end of August & I haven't worn them once...  You better believe I will be wearing them tomorrow ;-).

Almost done with the living room / office area, then on to our bedroom.  Let's see what new revelation I have in there!

Moving to Thailand!

Some of you reading this may know, but others might find out reading this blog.

Our family of 5 is selling almost everything, packing up the rest, and moving to Chaing Mai, Thailand.  We have been feeling on our hearts to go out into the mission field with our family for quite awhile.  Finally the time has shown itself...Sheraz has been accepted for the master's program in TESOL (Teach English to Speakers of Other Language) at Payap International University (please visit http://ic.payap.ac.th/ for more information).

There are so many questions surrounding this move, and I'm hoping this blog will help you all to take this journey with us. Here a couple of answers that will hopefully fulfill your questions:

#1. When are we leaving?  Tentative travel plans are set for October 22nd, 2011 flight.

#2. Where will we live in Thailand?  The university that Sheraz will be attending has student housing available, which we will be living in for the 1st year that we are there.

#3. How will we support ourselves financially?  Our church family, Church of the Good Shepherd, will be partially supporting us along with other donations that we receive.  Also, as I mentioned before, we are selling almost everything we own in our home.  Which will help with our initial costs.  We will be having a g-sale & estate sale on September 1st & 2nd, and on September 22nd - 24th.

We are so excited to begin this journey that God has planned before us, and I really look forward to having this blog to share our adventures & milestones with you.  Our family and friends (all over the world) are very precious to our family, especially those of you who have touched our childrens lives.

Please click to follow me on this blog site, and if you have more questions please ask & I will do my best to answer them.

Keep your eye out for information about the move & our sales, and please stop by to see us!

A Special Day

Today was a special day in our family.  Hope turned 4 years old and the twins Zarah & Keziah turned 3 months.  And to celebrate we moved all 3 girls into 1 room...ahhh, we have our bedroom back!  They are so cute sleeping all together, and amazingly easy to accomplish.
